About us

The total managed area of approximately 20 hectares is divided into about 10 hectares of meadows and steep slopes, which are mowed 2 to 3 times a year, with the remainder being forested. Our fields are exclusively grazed by our farm's own animals.

For a long time, cows were milked at Elsbichlhof, and the milk was delivered to the dairy. However, in 2005, Sepp and Anita decided to switch from dairy cattle to a beef cattle system and a free-stall operation.
The beef cattle farming provides the best conditions for the natural and animal-friendly rearing of young animals. Our cows are able to spend some time of the year on our fields together with their calves.

Our Cows

Animal welfare is very important to us. That's why our cattle are kept outside and in the fresh air as much as possible.

The herd of 8 suckler cows is made up of the “Tiroler Fleckvieh” cattle breed, which is typical of the region.

Up to 6 calves are born here every year. Some of them are allowed to spend their whole lives on our farm.

In addition to our cattle, there are lots of other animals that liven up the farm.

As a welcoming committee, our dog “Sina” looks forward to meeting new guests and familiar faces. The two cats “Susi” and “Strolchi” are the youngsters in this respect.

Our farm is also supported by our ducks, chickens and the goats “Gina”, “Flocke” and “Chili”.

Of course, our guests are always welcome to experience and help shape the work on the farm.
